Eric Wright chose to cross
boundaries usually faced by cellists. He found a unique way to fit
into Irish and American Old Time music by taking
“the chop”, an innovative rhythmic technique, to new levels. In

work with Ruth Moody, Pear, Red Moon Road, Cassie & Maggie
MacDonald, Trey Anastasio, and many others. And of course, he
is a critical part of the award winning, and world touring, The
Fretless
